Spring Break

Last week was such a tease. The weather was so perfect I felt like it was summer already. I was able to sleep late and stay up late. The first few days of spring break were very entertaining mainly because I got to spend time with my crazy best friend, until she had to go back to school on Monday. When I got home on Thursday, my best friend and I went out by the pond and laid out. When Saturday came, my old crew went out for St. Patty's day and had a ball. It was great being able to catch up on old times and laugh about everything. Even though it had been a while since we had all been together, it was perfectly normal. During the week, I babysat and worked for my dad a little, so I could make a little money. On Thursday, I left for Charleston and got to spend some time with my mom's side of the family. Friday, we went out on the beach and I got so roasted, I looked like a lobster. I am very positive that I had sun poisoning because that night I woke up at 2:00 a.m. very sweaty, dizzy and nauseous. I had to lay on the bathroom floor with a cold wash cloth on my head for like 10 minutes until I started freezing. OMG! I was so miserable. I came home Sunday and decided I would extend my Spring Break one more day so, I skipped school on Monday. I skipped because my boyfriend, who goes to Lander, had a golf tournament at his home course and it was the only one I could've gotten to watch. I was really sad when I had to come back to Clemson and get back into my school routine because I was having so much fun. Spring Break 2012 really teased me but when I look on the bright side, there's only like 4 more weeks of school left.

Mama's Girl

One person who has always been very supportive throughout my life is my mother. My mom has always been the person I have gone to for help or when something was wrong. Our relationship has always been somewhat closer than a regular mother daughter relationship. She is more like my best friend who I can tell anything and go shopping with, too. The time I spend with her really means so much to me because now that I am in college, I do not get to see her everyday. Now, we talk on the phone almost everyday for at least 30 minutes and if we do not talk on the phone, we text or email each other constantly throughout the day. She has always motivated me to do and try my best in all the obstacles of life. My mom has helped me become a responsible, self-disciplined young lady. Along with that, she taught me how to use my manners, put on makeup, tie my shoes, make the bed, and do the laundry which have really helped me the last 19 years of my life. Without my moms positive influences on me, I would not be the same person and have the same outlook on life as I do today.
